“WAILING LOONS PROVED WHY THEY ARE THE HARDEST WORKING ACT AT BONNAROO 2017. THE MINNESOTA NATIVES ARE PLAYING A TOTAL OF FIVE SETS THROUGHOUT CENTEROO AND THE CAMPGROUNDS THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND. WITH A GYPSY-FOLK ETHOS THAT REMINDED ME OF HYMN FOR HER, THE WAILING LOONS’S DEDICATION TO THE SING-ALONG CHORUS MAKES THEM A GREAT CHOICE FOR CAMPGROUND POP-UP SONGS AND THEIR ENVIRONMENTALLY THEMED LYRICS MAKE THEM PERFECT FOR PERFORMANCES AT BONNAROO’S SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS PLANET ROO.”

Wailing Loons create Music for Good, driven by a mission of writing and performing music that reflects and transforms society.

The Loons are now six strong, with Dan Wilder on guitar and banjo and vocals, Emilie Hitch on vocals, Nick Neylon on upright bass, Ric Lee on fiddle, Matthew Marshall on drums and Laura Fritz on the clogging board and ukulele.

The Loons are currently playing shows in support of their new self titled album. We cannot wait to see ya’ll again whether it be at Franconia Sculpture Garden, Bonnaroo 2022 or all the spaces in between!

Wailing Loons released their debut mini-LP "Fire in the Cold" in April of 2016 and their first full length self-titled album in the autumn of 2021. Here's to building a stronger community through music together!

"WAILING LOONS ENTERTAINED AND BANTERED WITH THE AUDIENCE IN BETWEEN  DANCEABLE FOLK ROCK THAT DEALT  WITH TOPICS OF NORTHERN LIGHTS,  BANK ROBBERIES, AND MOONSHINE.  THEY OFTEN QUIPPED ABOUT THEIR  PRIDE OF BEING MINNESOTA’S SMALLEST REPRESENTATION AT BONNAROO..."
